Archiving & Documents

SAP® SharePoint ArchiveLink

Turns your existing SharePoint into an archive back end for SAP documents — including index data, so records stay findable outside SAP.

The CaRD ArchiveLink interface connects SAP and Microsoft SharePoint: your existing SharePoint becomes the document archive back end. In SAP you control through content repositories and document types which records are stored in SharePoint and served back from there — technically identical to any other ArchiveLink archive, but without a separate archive system.

Because we also write index information into SharePoint, the documents remain searchable through the SharePoint interface. That lets you make invoices, sales documents, product documentation, assembly instructions or drawings converted to PDF available to people who have no SAP access at all. Who may see which document stays under your control in both worlds — down to object level.

Besides SAP PLM the interface supports the classic object storage with business documents and the GOS services that attach to virtually any business object. All standard transactions — OAWD for example — keep working unchanged. On top of that we implement individual scenarios, such as creating SAP attachments straight from SharePoint.

Optional: AI classification

On request we connect an AI classification that categorises stored documents outside S/4 — recognising document types, extracting attributes, establishing context. The results land in the index fields so that even someone who does not know the document number finds the right file through search.

Rather see it once than read it three times?

We will show you the tool in an online demo based on your own scenario — or on site at your premises.
