This website deliberately avoids cookies, tracking and external components. All resources are served directly from our own server.

2. Principle: data minimisation

Protecting your personal data matters to us. This website uses no cookies, embeds no external services (e.g. fonts, maps, analytics or advertising networks) and applies no tracking. All components of the website (fonts, images, scripts, stylesheets) are loaded exclusively from our own server. There is no user account and no shopping cart — this catalogue is not an online shop.

3. Server log files

When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically stores information in so-called server log files which your browser transmits automatically. These are generally:

  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer / shortened IP address
  • time of the server request

This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website. Log files are deleted after a short period.

4. Contact form and e-mail contact

If you contact us through the contact form or by e-mail, the data you provide (name, e-mail address, optionally company and telephone number, the product enquired about and your message) is stored in order to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation/performance of a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (handling your enquiry). The data is used solely to process your request and is not passed on to third parties. We delete this data as soon as it is no longer required for that purpose, or restrict processing where statutory retention obligations apply.

To protect against automated misuse (spam) the form uses a hidden field (honeypot) and a simple arithmetic question. No personal data is transmitted to third parties in this process and no cookies are set.

5. Recipients / processing on our behalf

The website is operated at a hosting service provider that processes the data on our behalf and on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR within the EU.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

An informal message to info@card.de is sufficient to exercise your rights.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The competent authority for Baden-Württemberg is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg.

8. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser address bar.
