CaRD SAP Filer for SharePoint®

The reverse of the connector: what is created in the library reaches the SAP transaction at the press of a button — as a copy, a reference or moved.

The CaRD Connector brings SAP documents into SharePoint. The SAP Filer goes the other way: it adds an entry to the command bar of a document library that assigns selected files to an SAP business object and files them there — purchase order, sales order, supplier, document info record.

Three filing modes

Copy leaves the file in the library and places a copy in SAP. Reference replaces it with a small reference file pointing at the SAP document — the transaction stays visible in SharePoint while the original exists only once. Move puts the file into the library recycle bin after filing, and explicitly only once SAP has confirmed it. Which mode applies can be prescribed per library.

Feedback into the library

The SAP document identifier comes back and is written into a column of the library. That makes it filterable and sortable in SharePoint what already exists in SAP, without anybody maintaining a parallel list. If SAP returns no identifier in an individual case the column stays empty — which does not invalidate the filing.

Current technology

The SAP Filer uses the current SharePoint extension framework; the earlier add-in model has been retired by Microsoft and is not used. Provisioning runs through your tenant app catalogue and permissions follow those of the library. Behind it works the same service as for the mail add-ins — a second SAP connection is not required.

The tool is new. We accompany the introduction personally and agree the filing modes with you beforehand.
