Archiving & Documents

CaRD Invoice & Document Solution for SAP S/4HANA®

Reads e-invoices as data rather than as an image and creates a parked document in S/4 — checking, release and posting stay in the SAP workflow.

An e-invoice already carries its values: invoice number, date, purchase order reference, supplier, net, tax, gross, payment terms and line items sit in the document as XML. Running it through text recognition anyway replaces reliable data with estimates. The CaRD Invoice & Document Solution therefore reads what is readable and only recognises what genuinely arrives as an image.

One inbox, four kinds of document

Paper, image PDF, text PDF and e-invoice all arrive in the same inbox. Supported are XRechnung, ZUGFeRD and Factur-X in the CII and UBL formats, embedded in a PDF or as a plain XML file. If a PDF carries invoice XML, that XML takes precedence. Multi-page batches can be split and reordered, and barcodes are read along the way.

Validated against the productive system

Purchase order, order items and supplier are queried live against your S/4HANA, plus a totals check, a duplicate check, field lengths and a comparison against the supplier master record. Every field shows where its value came from — from the XML, from text recognition or from a fixed pattern.

Pre-enter, not post

SAP creates a parked supplier invoice, with a purchase order reference against the order items or without one using G/L account assignment. Nothing is ever posted. Substantive checking, release and posting then continue in your familiar SAP workflow; the invoice hangs in the attachment list on the document. That boundary is secured twice over technically and is not implemented as a setting.

Operations

Released SAP standard services are used — no modification and no custom program in the core system. Supported are S/4HANA public cloud, private cloud, RISE with SAP and on-premise; what has to be set up is the communication scenario or service activation plus the authorisations. Sign-in runs through your directory service.
