CaRD ZUGFeRD Validator

A ZUGFeRD invoice consists of two parts and either can be faulty independently of the other: the PDF/A-3 container with its embedded file, and the invoice data inside it. Tools for invoice data never inspect the container, PDF/A checkers do not understand the invoice. The CaRD ZUGFeRD Validator runs both in a single pass.

Without upload

Invoices contain commercial terms, bank details and personal data. The public validators on the internet are technically sound, but they require exactly that to leave your building. The validator runs on your own machine or server instead — no upload, no sign-in, no user account.

Three routes into daily work

From Outlook the attachments of the open message can be checked directly. In Windows Explorer it works through the Send to entry. For batches and automation there is the command-line call, which processes whole directories and returns a machine-readable result — valid, objected to or aborted. That lets the check sit behind an invoice run.

A report you can pass on

The result appears as an HTML report in the browser, with one card per file checked and the rule violations in plain language rather than as error numbers. Container check and invoice check are reported separately. That makes it possible to settle with a supplier where the problem lies instead of guessing. Old reports are cleaned up automatically after a configurable period.

Undemanding in operation

One folder, all paths relative, the required runtime included. Moving it means copying it; settings live in a plain text file. No database, no service, no cloud. As a counterpart, the CaRD ZUGFeRD Tool produces the documents that are checked here.
