CaRD Connector — STACKIT edition
For everyone who does not want their records in a US cloud: the same technology, with data held in Germany.
This edition stores your S/4 documents in the object storage of the STACKIT cloud — the cloud offering of the Schwarz Group with data centres in Germany and Austria. For companies that, for regulatory reasons or on principle, will not put records into a US cloud, that is often the decisive argument.
Technically everything stays proven: S/4HANA talks to the connector through CMIS 1.1 (browser binding), and the same solution is available for SAP ArchiveLink for classic document storage. Because STACKIT provides S3-compatible object storage, the same field-proven storage layer as in the AWS edition is at work here — just against your STACKIT endpoint.
Sovereignty that survives the audit
Data held in German data centres, operated by a European company, contracts under German law: that spares you the third-country transfer debate in data protection impact assessments and audit conversations — a point that costs more time than the technology in many archive projects.
Optional: AI classification
Here too an AI classification can be connected to categorise documents outside S/4 and make them retrievable. On request with a model that is likewise operated in Europe — so sovereignty does not end at the analysis.
