CaRDScanServer — Barcode recognition for SAP®

The CaRDScanServer adds server-side barcode recognition to your SAP landscape: from SAP you can read barcodes inside files and process them further right away. More than 30 barcodes and formats are recognised — either all of them or specifically the values of one barcode type. Calls run online or in batch and are logged.

The practical benefit is matching: delivery notes, purchase orders and other records find their SAP document automatically through the recognised barcode — the corresponding material document, for example. That allows central scanning while keeping the assignment correct.

For bulk scans the server splits batches on its own: it recognises which pages belong together logically and creates a new document per unit. Alternatively you process single files or entire directories — decentrally if you wish. Output formats are TIF with LZW compression or PDF. Thanks to multithreading the recognition processes run in parallel, enabling high throughput.

Technically the product runs as a Windows service or a server application, compatible with all SAP archives and document types as well as third-party archives connected through ArchiveLink. On request we offer it hosted and provide web service access in addition to RFC. Licensing is a flat fee per system line — with no volume limit on documents.
