Material Master Translation for SAP®

The material master translation add-on enables straightforward creation of material masters in SAP with translations generated automatically in the background, in the languages you need. Your company then uses consistent wording — and saves considerable time in maintenance.

Translation processes accelerate and the error rate drops noticeably; customer communication stays consistent thanks to unified terminology. Interfaces to external systems are easy to adapt, and complete product catalogues can be translated. The built-in delta logic finds only changed or new texts — so not everything is retranslated each time.

Which texts are provided

• Material short and long texts from the SAP ERP material master (included in the base version)
• Sales texts for the material master (optional)
• Document info records (optional)
• A variable part for individual additional texts, such as dimensions (optional)
• Product catalogue long and short texts for SAP ERP product catalogue hierarchies, e.g. for e-commerce use (optional)
• Additional product texts for the material in the product catalogue (optional)
• Texts for classes and characteristics of the SAP classification system (optional)

In addition we offer an independent Java-based editing tool for translating material master texts outside SAP — including optional machine translation. Marketing departments, product data providers or translation agencies can work directly with your data and return it in the right format. Thanks to the architecture, customer-specific adaptations are quick and inexpensive to implement.
