Product Structure Scan for SAP®
Records during production which serial number went into which position — the basis for solid warranty and service statements.
In a warranty or service case what counts is what was actually installed. This add-on captures product structure data by barcode scanner directly during the production process: installed serial numbers, revision levels and installation positions are documented precisely.
Capture is supported on mobile tablets with a connected barcode scanner as well as through terminals on the shop floor — whichever suits the way each station works.
A key advantage: the solution is already implemented in SAP. Checks — against the production order status, for instance — can therefore be integrated quickly and easily, without a detour through a third-party system and an interface.
