Characteristic Value Hierarchy for SAP®
Instead of freely typed values: a tree with exactly the permitted characteristic values — dependent on other characteristics if you wish.
The data quality of classified objects is decided at data entry. This add-on integrates into the SAP classification system and adds a pop-up window offering permitted values in a tree structure. Whoever classifies picks instead of typing — spelling variants, duplicates and invalid values never arise in the first place.
Where needed, the selection can depend on other characteristic values so that only genuinely sensible combinations are offered. The solution has proven itself particularly around variant configuration, document info records and material master classification.
